Dedicating Time

Border Collies:"Owning an energetic dog requires dedication and commitment from day one. Without the time, energy, and consistency to train them, you may find yourself in for a wild ride! Essential training techniques like crate training, focus, down, and stay provide the foundation for a well-behaved companion. Remember, for every year your dog ages, it's like seven human years—so start training now, not later!"

Maybe to Smart

When bringing your new dog or puppy home! Remember, it takes about 3 days for them to decompress, 3 weeks to adjust to their new routine, and 3 months to fully settle in. Always approach training with calmness, assertiveness, consistency, and love. When addressing unwanted behaviors, redirect them positively by offering something that belongs to them. A toy to play with or chew on. Then use this time to do a 10-15 minute training session. Enjoy this exciting journey together!
