The JBK Border Collie Program in Texas
JBK Border Collies is a preservation-focused Border Collie program in Joshua, Texas, serving the Dallas–Fort Worth area and homes throughout the state.
Established in 1994, the program is built on long-term selection, structural consistency, functional ability, and preservation of correct Border Collie breed type.

Each generation is evaluated not only on individual merit, but on how it contributes to the long-term integrity of the program. Breeding decisions are made with restraint, continuity, and a clear understanding of what must be preserved over time.

Dogs are raised, developed, and evaluated on a working farm in Joshua, Texas, just south of Fort Worth, where they are part of an active, hands-on environment.
Proven Through Versatility

JBK Border Collies are bred with a balanced emphasis on correct structure, intelligence, athletic ability, and stable temperament.
Selection decisions prioritize versatility, producing dogs capable of success in conformation, herding, performance venues, and as reliable companions without sacrificing breed type or functional soundness.
This approach reflects deliberate development rather than narrow specialization, resulting in dogs that are adaptable, durable, and consistently representative of the JBK standard.

Program Philosophy

Breeding decisions are guided by long-term vision rather than trends. JBK prioritizes intelligence, structural correctness, athletic ability, and mental soundness to produce Border Collies capable of performing across environments and disciplines.

Some dogs are co-owned and are not available to the public for stud service.
All stud inquiries are reviewed individually and handled solely at the discretion of JBK.

JBK Border Collies has earned 327 AKC titles, with additional achievements recognized by other accredited organizations in the United States and internationally.

These accomplishments reflect not only the quality of the dogs produced, but also the dedication of the owners and handlers who train, compete, and live with them. Their continued work supports the long-term development and recognition of the JBK program across a wide range of venues and disciplines.
