The JBK Border Collie Program
JBK Border Collies was established in 1994 and is built on long-term selection and deliberate line development. The program is guided by consistency, function, and the preservation of correct breed type.

Each generation is evaluated not only on individual merit, but on how it contributes to the long-term integrity of the program as a whole. Decisions are made with restraint and continuity, guided by a clear understanding of what must be preserved over time.
Proven Through Versatility
Our Border Collies are bred with a balanced emphasis on correct structure, intelligence, athletic ability, and stable temperament. Selection decisions prioritize versatility—producing dogs capable of success in conformation, herding, performance venues, and as reliable companions—without sacrificing breed type or functional soundness.

This approach reflects intentional development rather than specialization in a single venue, resulting in dogs that are adaptable, durable, and consistently representative of the JBK standard.

Program Philosophy

Breeding decisions are guided by long-term vision rather than trends. We prioritize intelligence, structural correctness, athletic ability, and mental soundness to produce Border Collies capable of performing across environments and disciplines.
Some dogs are co-owned and are not standing at stud to the public. All stud inquiries are reviewed and handled exclusively at the discretion of JBK.
JBK Border Collies has earned 327 AKC titles and additional recognized achievements as of January 2026, with further titles and achievements through multiple other accredited organizations, nationally and internationally.
