Dog Daycare, Boarding, and Limited Training

At JBK Pet Salon, dogs are cared for in a practical, supervised environment built around structure, routine, safety, cleanliness, daily management, and appropriate conditioning. Services include dog daycare, overnight boarding, and limited board-and-train options for select dogs. This is not luxury boarding or free-roaming daycare. Space is intentionally limited so each dog can be managed properly.
Dog Daycare
Dog daycare is available for clients who need a safe, supervised place for their dog during the day instead of leaving them home alone for long hours. This service is designed for dogs that benefit from structure, routine, and monitored care in a controlled environment.
Daycare Rate: $25 per day, per dog
Small dogs in dog daycare may be housed in the grooming shop with me while I am working. That area is fully temperature-controlled, provides a quieter indoor setting, and has a TV on during the day. Owners may send treats or their dog’s regular food if needed.
Boarding
JBK offers limited boarding for dogs that are already familiar with structure, routine, and consistent handling. Boarding is best suited for dogs that can handle kennel routines, basic structure, and clear expectations. Housing is selected according to the dog’s size and needs, and the program is built around practical management rather than casual drop-off care.
Housing & Environment
Dogs are housed in fully insulated, well-ventilated kennel buildings designed for safety and airflow. These kennel areas are not temperature-controlled, but they are equipped with multiple industrial ceiling fans to help maintain comfort. Interior temperatures typically range from 65 to 80 degrees depending on season and weather conditions. Small lap-sized dogs may be housed in the grooming facility when appropriate. That area is fully temperature-controlled at 70 degrees year-round and provides a quieter indoor setting.
Daily Care & Management
All dogs receive daily supervision, scheduled feeding, routine cleaning, and appropriate conditioning. This is a structured kennel setting, not a free-roaming daycare setting. Dogs must be able to tolerate kennel housing and basic handling safely and appropriately.
Boarding Rates & Hours
Boarding is $35 per day, per dog. Rates are the same regardless of size. Boarding is charged per day, not per night. Drop-off and pick-up hours are 06:00 to 18:00 only.
Limited Board-and-Train
Limited board-and-train services are available for owners seeking structured foundational training. This service is offered only for select dogs and is not the primary focus of this page.
Board-and-Train Rate: $70 per day
Minimum commitment: 14 consecutive days
Owners are required to visit weekly during the program to work with their dog and review progress. Results depend on the dog’s temperament, the consistency of the work, and the owner’s follow-through after the dog goes home.
What to Bring
Owners must provide the dog’s regular food, blanket or bedding, and current health and vaccination records. A favorite toy may be sent if desired.
Health & Vaccination Requirements
All dogs must meet JBK health requirements before arrival. Rabies vaccination must be current within one year. Bordetella vaccination must be current within five months. Dogs must also be on monthly flea prevention and be free of internal and external parasites. No exceptions.
Payment Policy
A non-refundable 50% deposit is required at the time of booking to reserve a spot. The remaining balance is due in full before drop-off. All boarding and board-and-train services are prepaid. No exceptions.
Grooming Client Day-Stay Add-On
For grooming clients who need their dog kept for part of the day before pickup, a day-stay add-on may apply.

Boarding, daycare, and training space is limited. These services are intended for dogs that can function safely within a structured environment and for owners who understand that routine, management, and consistency matter. Submission of an application does not automatically confirm a booking. All requests are reviewed before an appointment is approved.

Regularly scheduled dogs do not need to fill out this form. Clients with an existing appointment only need to state that an extended stay is needed for that visit so it can be added to the calendar.
