Current and Upcoming Availability
Availability may change as puppies are evaluated, deposits are placed, and homes are approved. Some puppies may be available now, some may be pending, and others may already be reserved by deposit. Availability is updated as time allows, but not every change happens instantly.
Serious buyers should rely on the application process rather than assume a puppy is available simply because a photo is still posted.

Deposits and Reservations
Deposits are the only thing that will hold a puppy. Without a deposit, a puppy is not considered reserved. Puppy selection is based on approved placement and deposit order, not casual inquiry, messages, or verbal interest alone.

Adult Dogs
From time to time, JBK may have select adult dogs available to approved homes. These may include retired show dogs, retired breeding dogs, or young adults originally retained for evaluation within the program. Adult dog availability is limited and does not occur frequently. Adult placements are considered individually and only to homes that are an appropriate fit.

Age at Placement
Many buyers focus heavily on the eight-week mark because that is what they have heard online. In many cases, eight weeks can be an appropriate time to bring a puppy home, especially for buyers who are prepared for the extra work, interrupted sleep, and early adjustment period that often comes with a very young puppy. At the same time, slightly older puppies should not be overlooked. Puppies kept a little longer, such as from eight weeks to four months of age, often benefit from additional structure, socialization, and routine here on the farm. They are commonly more settled, more accustomed to other dogs, and often easier for some homes to transition than a very young puppy. This is not a matter of one age being universally right and the other wrong. It is largely personal preference, household fit, and buyer readiness. A slightly older puppy should not be dismissed simply because of internet advice. With the right start, those puppies can be exceptionally stable, well-adjusted, and enjoyable to bring home.

Pricing
Companion and performance puppies are generally priced at $2,500.00, and select intact breeding prospects may be priced at $7,500.00, depending on the individual dog and placement terms. Pricing for adult dogs, special prospects, or other placements may vary.

In-Person Visits
In-person puppy visits are by appointment only and require a $250 non-refundable appointment fee paid in advance by Zelle before an appointment is scheduled. The earliest puppy visitation age is six weeks old. JBK does not offer casual puppy visits, browsing visits, or drop-in visits.

Transportation
Transportation is arranged at the buyer’s expense. The best option depends on distance, timing, location, and budget. Different transportation methods have different costs, scheduling requirements, and limitations. Buyers are responsible for choosing the transportation option that best fits their situation after reviewing the Transportation page.
If a buyer chooses to have a puppy flown, JBK personally handles the flight arrangements. American Airlines PetSafe Priority Cargo is used, and the airport of departure is DFW.

All inquiries begin with the application. Buyers who review the website first, follow instructions, and come prepared generally move through the process much more efficiently. Questions that are already answered on the website may slow the process.
